        March 26 marked the successful conclusion of CS Asia, a premier three-day event held in conjunction with SEMICON China. Ray Chen, Vice General Manager and Head of Strategic Marketing at Raysea Technology, was invited to deliver a keynote speech titled “Intelligence for the Future: High-Performance MJ VCSEL for Automotive-Grade and Robotics Applications”. His in-depth analysis of multi-junction VCSEL technology enabling intelligent sensing for automotive and robotics sectors garnered enthusiastic responses and extensive attention from industry peers.

        Addressing the stringent demands for high power, precision, and reliability in laser sensing required by autonomous driving and embodied intelligence, Ray Chen highlighted Raysea Technology’s fully proprietary Single Oxide Layer Multi-Junction (SOMJ) VCSEL platform. Boasting five core advantages—superior power density, high-duty-cycle operation, outstanding electro-optical conversion efficiency, narrower divergence angle, and automotive-grade reliability—the platform has achieved industry-leading research and development results for 10–14 junction linear VCSEL arrays. These devices deliver a power density of up to 7 kW/mm², maintain a stable divergence angle of approximately 10°, and feature a single oxide layer unit structure that balances high performance with mass production consistency.

        During the presentation, Ray Chen also shared the practical applications of VCSEL technology in intelligent driving, service robots, and other scenarios, as well as key milestones in domestic mass production and the breakthrough of overseas monopolies. He elaborated on product innovations in multi-junction VCSELs, achievements in automotive-grade certification, and their large-scale applications in automotive LiDAR, drones, and other fields.
